The perfect location...

Located in a quiet corner of Windermere, yet only a two minute level walk from heart of the village, Glen Wynne is perfectly situated. Windermere’s main car park is just down the road from the guest house, providing ample parking. A little further on, are the main taxi rank and bus stops. An inexpensive shuttle bus operates every 20 minutes, stopping at Bowness village, the lake, the bus and train station, as well as the Steam Boat Museum and Beatrix Potter exhibition at The Old Laundry.

Windermere itself has a wide variety of traditional pubs, lively bars, and restaurants with cuisine from around the globe. There are numerous shops and galleries, a well stocked supermarket, and excellent local library. Many of the other Lakeland villages are easily accessed from Windermere including Ambleside (4.5 mls), Grasmere (9 mls), and Coniston (11.5 mls). The market town of Kendal (9.5 mls) is a short trip by train or bus and only 15 minutes by car.
